SUMMARY:Coopération élargie dans le contexte du Traité de Nancy : diplomatie scientifique, sécurité, migrations
DESCRIPTION:To mark the first anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Nancy, the conference “Coopération élargie dans le contexte du Traité de Nancy : diplomatie scientifique, sécurité, migrations” will demonstrate how the new Franco-Polish cooperation framework enables joint research projects, strengthened university network collaboration and soft power initiatives. The conference will highlight the importance of politically sensitive areas such as migration, security, and cyber resilience. The Treaty of Nancy strengthens the bilateral partnership’s ambitions in strategic areas and opens up new prospects for cooperation.\nThe Franco-Polish PHC Polonium project, ‘AMIPOL: Analysis of the Politicisation and Media Coverage of Migration’, will also be presented at this conference. This project aims to analyse the mechanisms of the politicisation of migration, the role of the media in amplifying existing controversies and divisions, and the factors that mitigate them. It will also examine the links between migration narratives and security categories, such as securitisation, hybrid threats and the manipulation of information.\nThe Treaty of Nancy establishes a solid foundation for deepening strategic dialogue and developing joint scientific and expert initiatives through Franco-Polish cooperation. The Treaty also reinforces the importance of the partnership between Poland and France as a key pillar of European solidarity, security, and resilience in the face of contemporary challenges.\nOrganisers: \nPolish Academy of Sciences Scientific Centre in Paris, Warsaw School of Economics, Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw\nHonorary patronage:\nPolish Embassy in Paris, Ministry of Science and Higher Education (Poland), Rector of the Warsaw School of Economics, Polish Political Science Association (Polskie Towarzystwo Nauk Politycznych), Polish Society for European Studies (Polskie Towarzystwo Studiów Europejskich), Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange\nThe conference will be held in French.\nPROGRAM\nDue to the limited number of places, those interested in attending the lecture are invited to register by sending an email to secretariat@paris.pan.pl ( mailto:secretariat@paris.pan.pl ) or by filling out the form: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/jnD9tZ0jtQ ( https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/jnD9tZ0jtQ )\nBy registering for the event, you accept the rules for the processing of personal data ( https://paris.pan.pl/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Klauzule-EN.pdf ).
