Conrad\u2019s prescient understanding of historical, political, social, and cultural upheavals has resonated through generations of readers and critics. <\/span>Themes central to his work – global contact, dislocation, homelessness, cultural clashes, lost causes, irreconcilable antagonisms, and the failures of vision and compassion, both personal and political – have become increasingly relevant, often reflecting the very headlines of our time. <\/span>Critics such as <\/span>Ch<\/span>. <\/span>Achebe<\/span>, philosophers like <\/span>P<\/span>. <\/span>Lacoue<\/span>-Labarthe, filmmakers including <\/span>W. Herzog<\/span>, playwrights such as <\/span>V. <\/span>Valcheva<\/span> and <\/span>P. <\/span>Demirski<\/span>, musicians like <\/span>T<\/span>. <\/span>O\u2019Regan<\/span>, and writers such as D. <\/span>Dabydeen<\/span> have all engaged with his work.
