Seminar featuring the recipients of the 2026 Polish-French Scientific Prize.<\/p>\n
Prof. Chris Moulin<\/strong> (Laboratoire de Psychologie et Neurocognition, Universit\u00e9 Grenoble Alpes, France) and Prof. Krystian Barzykowski<\/strong> (Institute of Psychology, Faculty of Philosophy, Jagiellonian University, Poland) have been awarded the Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie and Pierre Curie Polish-French Science Award in 2026<\/strong>, jointly conferred by the Foundation for Polish Science and the French Academy of Sciences for outstanding scientific achievements resulting from Polish-French research collaboration.<\/p>\n The laureates were honoured for their pioneering research on involuntary autobiographical memory and the phenomenon of d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu, which has opened up new perspectives on understanding human memory.<\/p>\n On Wednesday, 28 October 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.<\/strong>, the Polish Academy of Sciences Scientific Center in Paris will host a scientific seminar entitled Involuntary Cognition: Where Have We Been, Where Are We Going?<\/em><\/p>\n The laudation will be delivered by Prof. Grzegorz Kr\u00f3liczak<\/strong>, a member of the Jury of the Polish-French Scientific Prize (Action and Cognition Laboratory, Adam Mickiewicz University, Pozna\u0144, Poland). The Prize recipients will present their research, discuss their joint achievements, and share their perspectives on future scientific developments. The panel discussion will also feature Prof. Pascale Piolino<\/strong> (Laboratoire M\u00e9moire, Cerveau & Cognition, Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9, France) and Prof. Lia Kvavilashvili<\/strong> (Professor of Cognitive Psychology, University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom).<\/p>\n The event will be held in English<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Established in 2019, the Polish-French Scientific Prize is awarded every two years through a competitive selection process by the Foundation for Polish Science and the Acad\u00e9mie des sciences. The laureates are selected by a Jury composed of distinguished scientists from France and Poland.
