Francuscy politycy, usi\u0142uj\u0105cy zwi\u0105za\u0107 Francj\u0119 sojuszem z Rosj\u0105, nie byli zainteresowani sprawami polskimi, wykruszy\u0142o si\u0119 te\u017c stare pokolenie Wielkiej Emigracji.<\/p>\n

Zaraz po zako\u0144czeniu dzia\u0142a\u0144 wojennych wszyscy pracownicy ponownie podj\u0119li prac\u0119 w Bibliotece, wywiezione zbiory wr\u00f3ci\u0142y – via Biblioteka Narodowa w Warszawie – do Pary\u017ca. Zacz\u0119to te\u017c restaurowa\u0107 pomieszczenia biblioteczne, wznowiono dzia\u0142alno\u015b\u0107 naukow\u0105 i dydaktyczn\u0105. W 1947 roku podpisano w Pary\u017cu Konwencj\u0119 o wsp\u00f3\u0142pracy intelektualnej mi\u0119dzy Rzeczpospolit\u0105 Polsk\u0105 a Republik\u0105 Francusk\u0105. Konwencja ta zawiera\u0142a w artykule 7, pierwsze po II wojnie \u015bwiatowej traktatowe potwierdzenie funkcjonowania Biblioteki Polskiej i Stacji Naukowej w Pary\u017cu nale\u017c\u0105cych do Polskiej Akademii Umiej\u0119tno\u015bci.<\/p>\n

Zgodnie z og\u0142oszon\u0105 rok wcze\u015bniej uchwa\u0142\u0105 Walnego Zgromadzenia PAU, Stacja mia\u0142a reprezentowa\u0107 potrzeby wszystkich wydzia\u0142\u00f3w Akademii (dotychczas ogranicza\u0142a si\u0119 do Wydzia\u0142u Filozoficznego i Historyczno-Filozoficznego. Dodajmy jednak, \u017ce Dzia\u0142 Nauk \u015acis\u0142ych i Stosowanych Stacji powo\u0142ano dopiero w 1958 roku).<\/p>\n

W roku 1949 cz\u0119\u015b\u0107 gmachu przy ulicy Lauriston 74 oddano Stanis\u0142awowi W\u0119dkiewiczowi z przeznaczeniem na siedzib\u0119 Stacji Naukowej, a po roku 1951 ju\u017c ca\u0142o\u015b\u0107 – Polskiej Akademii Nauk.<\/p>\n

Pierwsza po\u0142owa lat pi\u0119\u0107dziesi\u0105tych by\u0142a dla spo\u0142ecze\u0144stwa i nauki polskiej okresem terroru ideologicznego, a zarazem odci\u0119cia od kultury Zachodu. Dopiero po roku 1956 nast\u0105pi\u0142a poprawa sytuacji. W 1957 roku podpisano w Warszawie umowy mi\u0119dzy Polsk\u0105 Akademi\u0105 Nauk a Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique. Rozw\u00f3j Stacji umo\u017cliwi\u0142o przekazanie PAN w 1970 roku niszczej\u0105cych budynk\u00f3w dawnej Szko\u0142y Polskiej przy 11-15, rue Lamand\u00e9. W gruntownie wyremontowanych pomieszczeniach powsta\u0142 zesp\u00f3\u0142 pokoi go\u015bcinnych – zgodnie z \u017cyczeniem ofiarodawc\u00f3w (1927) udost\u0119pnianych stypendystom polskim przyje\u017cd\u017caj\u0105cym do Pary\u017ca na sta\u017ce naukowe, misje badawcze, sesje, konferencje naukowe itp.<\/p>\n

Pierwsze by\u0142o opracowanie: Polska Stacja Naukowa w Pary\u017cu w latach 1893-1978 (Wroc\u0142aw 1982) autorstwa Danuty Rederowej, Bohdana Jaczewskiego, Waldemara Rolbieckiego, z przedmow\u0105 Andrzeja F. Grabskiego (Wydawnictwo Ossolineum). Po wielu latach ukaza\u0142a si\u0119, w roku 2008 ksi\u0105\u017cka Patryka Pleskota Naukowa Szko\u0142a przetrwania. Paryska Stacja PAN w latach 1978-2004 (Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego, 2008).<\/p>\n

Trzecim opracowaniem jest praca magisterska Katarzyny Seroki pt: Dzia\u0142alno\u015b\u0107 Stacji Naukowej Polskiej Akademii Nauk w Pary\u017cu w latach 2005-2010 wykonana pod kierunkiem dr hab. Anny Kamler, prof. UW na kierunku Informacja Naukowa i Bibliotekoznawstwo Instytutu Informacji Naukowej i Studi\u00f3w Bibliologicznych Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego. W niniejszym opracowaniu wykorzystano materia\u0142y z pracy p. Siedziba Stacji znajduje si\u0119 w kamienicy wybudowanej na pocz\u0105tku XX wieku. Dzieje tego obiektu s\u0105 bardzo interesuj\u0105ce. Jego pierwszymi w\u0142a\u015bcicielami byli ksi\u0105\u017c\u0119ta Clermont-Tonnerre, zaprzyja\u017anieni z Marcelem Proustem – go\u015bciem salon\u00f3w przy rue Lauriston (niekt\u00f3re sceny z tych wizyt zosta\u0142y utrwalone w powie\u015bci\u00a0W poszukiwaniu straconego czasu<\/em>). Bywali tam r\u00f3wnie\u017c Polacy – m.in. spokrewniony z rodzin\u0105 w\u0142a\u015bcicieli Leon Radziwi\u0142\u0142 czy Ignacy Paderewski. P\u00f3\u017aniej pa\u0142acyk ten zosta\u0142 zakupiony przez rodzin\u0119 Sanguszk\u00f3w. W 1919 roku by\u0142 g\u0142\u00f3wn\u0105 kwater\u0105 polskiej delegacji wys\u0142anej na Konferencj\u0119 Wersalsk\u0105, w sk\u0142ad kt\u00f3rej wchodzili mi\u0119dzy innymi Kazimierz D\u0142uski, Micha\u0142 Sokolnicki, Antoni Sujkowski, Boles\u0142aw Wieniawa-D\u0142ugoszowski. Przy 74, rue Lauriston odbywa\u0142y si\u0119 w\u00f3wczas spotkania i odczyty z udzia\u0142em wa\u017cnych osobisto\u015bci politycznych i naukowych. Przychodzi\u0142a na nie r\u00f3wnie\u017c Maria Curie-Sk\u0142odowska. W okresie mi\u0119dzywojennym budynek przeszed\u0142 ponownie w r\u0119ce francuskie, za\u015b po drugiej wojnie \u015bwiatowej zosta\u0142 zakupiony przez Polak\u00f3w i przekazany Ambasadzie Polskiej w Pary\u017cu.<\/span><\/p>\n
