The event \u201cForced Migrations and Migrants in the 21st Century: Consequences of the Russian Aggression on Ukraine in the Context of Earlier Episodes\u201d was an analysis of contemporary migration phenomena in the context of the war in Ukraine. The conference took place on April 28-29, 2025, and gathered experts from the fields of sociology, law, and political science.<\/p>\n

The topics addressed during the event included: the scale and structure of migration, the phases of migration, the situation of forced migrants residing in Central and Eastern European countries (particularly Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary), the situation of forced migrants in the labor market, their well-being and broader social situation, irregular migration, support for migrants, and the role of contemporary technology in the lives of migrants.<\/p>\n

Migrants differ in terms of language, culture, and religion, which affects their integration into societies. During the event, solutions were proposed to support migration policies \u2013 Polish, French, and European \u2013 as well as to optimize social cohesion, and to develop points for continuing cooperation within existing partnerships or starting new projects between participants.<\/p>\n
