On 9-10 July 2026, the Polish Academy of Sciences Scientific Center in Paris became the meeting place for researchers from Poland, France and Romania during the international scientific conference \u201cIn Collaboration on Cooperation: Research in Linguistics within French-Polish Teams\u201d. The event was organized by the Polish Academy of Sciences Scientific Center in Paris and the Institute of Linguistics of the University of Silesia in Katowice. The conference was the first event devoted to Polish-French cooperation in the field of linguistics. Its aim was not only to present the results of research conducted by international teams, but also to create a space for discussion on the challenges of contemporary humanities, the development of new research methods, and the establishment of further academic partnerships.<\/p>\n
Over two days, participants representing various universities and centers presented the results of their research in the fields of contrastive linguistics, translation studies, language teaching, corpus linguistics, discourse analysis, terminology and intercultural communication. The programme also included presentations on the use of artificial intelligence in linguistic research and foreign language teaching, as well as reflections on the future of scientific cooperation in the era of dynamic digital technology development. Research carried out jointly by Polish and French academics featured prominently in the programme. Participants presented their experiences gained from carrying out research projects, cooperation within the Erasmus+ programme, doctorates conducted in the cotutelle<\/em> formula, and international projects in the fields of linguistics, translation and language teaching.<\/p>\n The interdisciplinary nature of the event was particularly noteworthy. Alongside traditional linguistic research, projects using digital humanities tools, research into AI-assisted translation, legal linguistics and the localization of digital products were presented. The conference demonstrated that contemporary linguistics is increasingly developing at the intersection of various disciplines.<\/p>\n Another key aspect of the meeting was the presence of researchers from different generations \u2013 ranging from doctoral students and young scientists to renowned researchers representing leading academic centers from Poland and France. The conference provided an opportunity to forge new scientific contacts, exchange experiences and plan further joint research projects. The organizers emphasized that scientific cooperation between Poland and France has a long-standing tradition, and that its development remains one of the key elements in the internationalization of humanities research. The conference confirmed that joint research projects not only enrich the scientific achievements of both countries but also foster the creation of lasting cooperation networks and the development of new areas of research.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
