Anthropocene and the mission of transformation
The symposium will have an interdisciplinary character. Emphasis will be placed on education and networking between young designers and scientists from Poland and France. The symposium will be attended by specialists in the field of earth sciences, art history, philosophy of culture and linguistics, as well as young researchers and future designers. The knowledge gained during the symposium is to serve the purpose of conscious design, as well as the wider distribution of knowledge through posters, educational computer games, paintings or multimedia works created as a result of the meetings.
Our goal will be to refer to the priorities of the Horizon Europe mission and emphasize the importance of designing the so-called Smart Cities. Invited young designers and researchers in the future will deal with design or research concerning environmental protection and creating friendly, green cities with all their infrastructure and fashion.
The symposium will consist of lectures, artistic workshops with the substantive support of specialists and queries in order to obtain information and inspiration. The aim of the workshop will be to create a series of works in a suggestive and brief way illustrating the issues related to the harmful imprint of human species on the planet. We consider it our task to show possible and constructive paths of transformation in our approach.
