Fashion as a Field of Study—An Interdisciplinary Approach from Paris. Fashion in All Its Forms

In the 21st century fashion is not only an integral part of everyday life but also constitutes a field of research. These days the questions asked about fashion do not concern only aesthetics, but also the ecological, social and cultural challenges. This conference will focus on how fashion responds to society’s concerns, as well as its future and whether we can speak about any hope in this field.

The lectures will be presented by:

– Alberto Fabio Ambrosio (Luxembourg School of Religion & Society, Collège des Bernardins) – theologian, historian, specialist in the fashion’s relations with the past and present,

– Aurélia Gualdo – (École des hautes études en sciences sociales) PhD candidate in anthropology

– Clara Daguin – artist and designer.

This event is organized in cooperation with Le Collège des Bernardins

The event will be held in French.
