Quantum Coherence Activation by Open Systems and Environments

Can noise be useful for quantum technologies? The environment is usually seen as something that destroys fragile quantum effects. This workshop will explore a different perspective: under the right conditions, the environment itself can become a resource that activates or enhances useful quantum phenomena.

The workshop will focus on noise-activated quantum correlations, environment-assisted quantum algorithms, and quantum-noise characterization across different experimental platforms. It will bring together theorists and experimentalists working on open quantum systems, quantum optics, solid-state physics, and entanglement theory, and will be connected with the consortium meeting of the QuantEra project “Quantum Coherence Activation By Open Systems and Environments”.
