Work community as a challenge for Polish and French labour law

Programme Booklet Poster

Assises franco-polonaises de droit is a Polish-French meeting of humanist lawyers, together with writers, historians, anthropologists, artists… – everyone who is interested in the social nature of man (human sciences).

As Pierre Legendre said: “Law is a discourse on life”. Therefore, there can be no effective legal regulation if we do not know human nature and the mechanisms of human functioning in society. Lawyers cannot function in isolation, as it causes a risk of creating norms against human beings, whose good should be the aim of the norms. That is why the voice of experts in the domain of human nature and the social character of man should be so important to lawyers. The lawyer, then, ceases to be just a lawyer and becomes a humanist lawyer.

Assises franco-polonaises initiated by the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań are held in Paris, thanks to the organization and hospitality of the Polish Academy of Sciences – Scientific Centre in Paris. IV Assises franco-polonaises de droit is a joint venture of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University and the University of Lorraine. The two-day meeting will be held at the Polish Academy of Sciences – Scientific Centre in Paris and at the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
