On 2nd and 3rd June, the Polish Academy of Sciences Scientific Centre in Paris hosted the “International Research Workshop CSCC: Computer Security & Cybersecurity Challenges” event. Focusing on challenges and innovations in computer security and cybersecurity, the workshop-style event was aimed at young researchers, students, and PhD candidates. The workshop brought together representatives from various European countries.

The event aimed to present the latest research in computer and cyber security and to bring the scientific community together. Eighteen lectures were given during the workshop, covering topics such as disinformation, audio deepfakes, biometric security, digital identity, e-health, artificial intelligence, and user privacy. Participants highlighted the growing threat of synthetic speech in phishing and impersonation attacks in their presentations, emphasising the need for increased transparency of AI models in critical applications. A key part of the event was a workshop on simulating phishing campaigns.

The event provided a unique opportunity to exchange insights and ideas in the field of cybernetics.
