6th International Conference on Quality in Medicine, Global Health and Law: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Improving Quality of Clinical Practice, Medical Education, Research, and Healthcare Financing
The goal of the annual meetings on Quality in Medicine, Global Health and Law held since 2018 at the Polish Academy of Science (PAN) Center in Paris is to bring together health scientists and professionals to inspire an open dialog regarding the role of various concepts and novel ideas in improving quality of healthcare. A specific emphasis is put on discussing and analyzing innovative health policies and the role of collaborative efforts, which may be instrumental in the overall improvement of healthcare systems’ performance and population health outcomes on a national, regional and global level. The annual events initiated by a group of graduates of the Takemi Program in International Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, are co-organized by the Copernicus Institute for the Arts, Sciences and Law of New England, Inc., in collaboration with distinguished partners and participants such as: French Foundation for Management Education, British Medical Journal, Institute for Healthcare Improvement, the Kosciuszko Foundation, Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, OECD, WHO, CDC, CEREF, Polish National Agency of Medical Research, National Center for Quality Assessment in Healthcare in Krakow, the European Health Futures Forum, Medyk Publishing House, Ltd., in Warsaw, several Medical Schools and Research Institutions in Poland, France and other countries, leading international biotech companies and the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Boston, Massachusetts.
Previous Editions
After a productive and inspiring First Roundtable Meeting on Quality in Medicine, Global Health and Law held in April 2018, the Second Conference, held in May 2019, was focused on the role of international collaboration in improving quality of care. The goal of the Third PAN Paris Conference, held in June 2021, was to explore the role of interprofessional collaboration in improving quality of care in the time of pandemic. The Fourth Conference took place in April 2022 and explored the role of Disruptive Innovation in improving quality of care. In 2023 and 2024, the Copernicus Institute of New England co-sponsored other quality in medicine-related PAN Paris conferences in collaboration with Medical University of Poznan, CHRU de Nancy, Pasteur Institute, Medical University of Bialystok, and University Paris Cite. The goal of the Fifth Edition of the PAN Conference held in June 2025, was to showcase the accomplishments of the productive collaboration between Curie Institute in Paris and National Institute of Oncology in Warsaw, as well as other leading oncology institutions in France and Poland.
The 2026 Edition
The Sixth Edition of the Conference will explore the benefits and challenges related to the emerging multidimensional applications of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine in selected clinical specialties (neurology, oncology, cardiology and wellness engineering). The second day of the Conference will focus on the role of AI in cross-disciplinary areas such as ethical, legal and social issues (ELSI), medical research and education, financing of healthcare systems, global health and humanitarian programs. As usual, the participants of the meeting will represent leading academic institutions, international entities, bio-technology and healthcare organizations in Poland, France and other countries.
