On Friday, May 24th, 2024, the “Polish Science and Start-Up Conference” was held. The event was organized by the Polish Academy of Sciences Scientific Center in Paris, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Paris and under the patronage of Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie Polonaise en France (CCIPF). The conference took place as part of the “Polish Science and Start-Up Days” (May 23-24, 2024).

The keynote speaker, Zuzanna Stamirowska, PhD, along with participants of panel discussions such as “Why do we need hubs? Hubs as the essential tool for scientists for turning their research into start-ups” (prof. Christine Huttin, Julien Nicolas, Michał Tabisz, Marcin Ratkiewicz), “Biotechnology and Medical Technology – innovations for health” (Jakub Chwiećko, PhD, Łukasz Rzeczkowski, Christophe Tallec, Ewa Trojan, PhD) and “GreenTech innovations – the way towards the sustainable future” (Romain Rebour, Stéphane Batarière, Mateusz Maj, PhD, Antoine Dechezleprêtre. PhD), explored the world of science and the impact of scientists on innovation in the start-up and technology industries. The event aimed to highlight the role of science in technology development and to foster closer collaboration between the scientific and business communities while providing a platform for experience sharing and networking.

The day before the conference, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie Polonaise en France, a debate titled “Tech for change: building smarter economy thanks to Polish-French cooperation” and a networking meeting took place at the Embassy of Poland in Paris.
